Open Position: Dispatcher


Wood County Electric Cooperative is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Dispatcher. The work day is a 12 hour shift, midnight to noon, rotating four days per week. This position is responsible for maintaining radio communication with field personnel and telephone

communication with members regarding routine activities, as well as emergency power outages.

Qualified applicants must have two years of general office work or experience working with the

public, a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Additionally, qualified applicants must be proficient on personal computers, be familiar with radio

systems and possess considerable skill in exercising independent judgment. All employees are

required to reside within the service boundaries of WCEC and adhere to its Code of Ethics and

Standards of Conduct.
