Funnel Cakes and Spring Swing Fun

We were happy to be involved in events that took place May 5-7 throughout the local communities we serve. We kicked the weekend off in Mineola at the fourth annual Relay for Life on Friday May 5th, where we sold funnel cakes to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The event was a huge success and we look forward to being a part of it again next year.

The next day was the first annual Spring Swing Festival in Quitman and WCEC was a corporate sponsor. The festival was held on Saturday and Sunday and both days were filled with Western Swing fun.

WCEC was founded on seven principles which guide us in making decisions that reflect the best interests of the members we serve. One of those seven principles is "Concern for the Community." As your local cooperative we are committed to the communities we serve and are happy to support local events.
