WCEC Welcomes Garden Valley Golf Club to its Family
In August of 2005, Garden Valley Golf Club decided to switch their wire service to Wood County Electric Cooperative. It took a few months of hard work and careful planning to successfully complete the switchover. Several hours went into staking, obtaining easements, and burying line for underground service to the golf course, club house and lodging offered at Garden Valley Golf Club. The last phase of the switchover was complete in March and WCEC is proud to welcome them as one its newest members.
If you are planning to play a few rounds of golf, dine, or maybe stay the weekend in one of Garden Valley’s dockside cabins, you are really in for a treat. The golf course is 18 holes and is beautifully landscaped with azaleas and pine trees. It is ranked number three among public golf resorts in Texas and is sure to be challenging enough to keep every round interesting.
It’s located just an hour from Dallas, and less than 20 miles from Tyler and offers much more than just golf. The club has a wide variety of foods from a hamburger for lunch to full service catering for special events.
