WCEC FILLS KEY POSITIONS
Wood County Electric Cooperative, Inc. recently announced two promotions to fill key positions. Rusty Mask has been named Line Superintendent and Leslie James the Human Resource/Communications Specialist at the cooperative.
Rusty’s career spans 26 years in the electric industry. He began working for Kaufman County Electric Cooperative in 1980 as a Groundman. Working his way through the ranks, he was promoted to Director of Engineering in 1994. He worked at that position until he was named Operations Manager in 1996. Rusty came to work for Wood County Electric Cooperative in 2005 as Key Accounts Representative and Engineering Assistant. His new responsibilities as Line Superintendent will be to supervise the construction and maintenance of the power transmission and distribution systems.
Rusty said, “I look forward to working with our members and WCEC employees to make sure that we perform in a timely and professional manner.”
Rusty and his wife Kathy have two children, Amber and Riley, and live near Quitman. He is a member of the First Baptist Church and the Kiwanis Club of Quitman.
Ms. James, a native of Mt. Vernon, graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management. She began her career in Dallas with Wyndham International in the human resources department. In 2005, Leslie came to work for Wood County Electric Cooperative as a Communications Specialist and now has the added responsibility of benefits administration and personnel management for all full time and retired employees.
Leslie is “very excited about the opportunity to serve the cooperative in another capacity and is committed to working hard for both the employees and members of Wood County Electric Cooperative.”
Leslie and her husband Ryan reside in Golden and are members of the First Baptist Church of Quitman.
Wood County Electric Cooperative serves over 31,000 meters in nine counties throughout northeast Texas including Camp, Franklin, Hopkins, Rains, Smith, Titus, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood County.
