WCEC SPONSORS ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP TO WASHINGTON

Wood County Electric Cooperative, Inc. is sponsoring an all expense paid trip to Washington, D. C. through the Government-In-Action Tour competition. One lucky student from WCEC will join hundreds of other students from electric cooperatives throughout the nation and see the sights of our nation’s Capital.  Students will also have the opportunity to meet elected officials in order to better understand how the federal government works. The Youth Tour is scheduled for June 7-15, 2007. Students will travel to Washington with 90 students from other electric cooperatives in Texas.

According to CEO/General Manager Debbie Robinson, “WCEC is proud to sponsor this once in a lifetime all expense paid trip to Washington, D. C.” For rules and eligibility requirements, please see the January 2007 issue of the Texas Co-op Power magazine or call WCEC.

Wood County Electric Cooperative serves over 31,000 meters in parts of nine counties that include Camp, Franklin, Hopkins, Rains, Smith, Titus, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood.
