We’ve been bringing electric power to our corner of East Texas since 1938. We’re proud of our history as one of Texas’ first electric cooperatives, and we’re pleased to continue to be of service to our good neighbors in East Texas today.

Fuel Mix
Just as is prudent when investing, securing power generation sources should be approached in a balanced manner. As we secure future power sources, a mix of factors must be considered, including availability to the source, reliability of the source, cost of the source, growing demand for power, and environmental impacts. As always, when we consider these things, the management at WCEC keeps members in mind, and operates to effectively secure sources as reliable and affordable as possible.
