Born in Wyoming, Jeannette Giles was raised in Arizona where she graduated from Blue Ridge High. Proud of her Texas ancestral roots, she and husband Mike have lived and been invested in the Winnsboro community for the past 28 years.
She was employed by the Winnsboro Independent School District for 12 years as a substitute teacher in the English and agricultural departments. She is also an expert horsewoman with championship titles in barrel racing. She operates Rocking G Quarter Horses and Training, where for over 27 years she has trained horses and taught private and group horsemanship lessons.
Mrs. Giles community involvement has included serving as the advertising director for the Wood County Junior Livestock Show, and participating in the the annual Jack Cross Memorial Livestock Show. For over 20 years she has held various officer positions in the Winnsboro Rodeo Association where she also has assisted with the annual rodeo Queen Contest.
Mrs. Giles currently serves as public affairs specialist for the Quitman Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She and Mike are the parents of 4, and they enjoy spending time with their 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, who all live in Texas. She loves living in Texas, being with her family and friends, riding horses and honoring her commitments to God.
