Robinson Receives Capitol Flag Honor, & State & Coop Resolutions

Recently retired CEO and General Manager of Wood County Electric Cooperative, Debbie L. Robinson, was honored in a brief ceremony held at the cooperative on Monday, December 14, 2020.

Representative Cole Hefner, Texas House District 5, was on hand to present Robinson with a flag that was flown over the state capitol. In his presentation, he thanked her for her 37 years of service, and recognized Robinson for her dedication to the residents of the region. In addition to the flag, he honored her with a resolution that emphasized her guidance of the cooperative through a time of tremendous growth. He also noted her industry leading work as a board member for both state and national industry cooperatives. Lastly, he congratulated Robinson on her well-earned retirement.

Following, Trey Teaff, the current CEO and General Manager of WCEC, presented Robinson with a WCEC Board resolution. This resolution outlines her legacy of work at the cooperative, and her faithful service to the members and employees of WCEC. In his presentation, Teaff, said, “We are all grateful to Debbie for her leadership and her good management. This resolution and recognition by the board is but a formal document that puts into words what we all feel.”

As she thanked Hefner and Teaff, Robinson said, “I am proud of all we accomplished in my tenure, with the help of all of the employees.”
