We’ve enhanced our already FAST, SAFE, SECURE, bill payment process

WCEC Customer Service Representatives will no longer accept credit card or checking account information via phone after September 1, 2019. Members can still pay by phone but must use the automated system. We’re making this change for several reasons, but primarily for our member’s protection:

  • Data security is paramount. Eliminating the need for members to share their credit card or checking account information enhances their security.
  • Card-not-present transactions have a higher fraud rate.
  • Self data entry is much faster and more accurate than 2-party.WCEC believes in catering to member preferences, and we’ve made paying by phone even easier. All phone payments can now be made 24/7. Not just during office hours. Just dial 903-763-2203, like always. When the auto attendant answers, press Option 1. You’ll be on your way to quickly and securely making a payment.Of course, there are many other options to safely and securely pay your WCEC bills, and we encourage you to explore them.

Mobile Bill Pay App. To get the free app, just search for “Wood County Electric Cooperative” in the Apple Store or in the Android Market and then download it. This tool is also one of the fastest ways to report an outage right from your mobile phone!

E-Bill. A paperless option that reduces paper waste and reduces postal charges

 Automatic Bill Pay. Never worry about a late payment. You set all of the parameters yourself.

 For all of the above options you’ll need to set up an online account. It’s quick and easy. Just visit the Account Services Portal to do so.

Beyond Electronic. Simply mail in your payment. Or, you can still always pay in person at the office Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or at the Mobile Convenience Center at a location near you Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Use cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, or Discover.
