District 2 Representative
A life-long East Texan, Shane Mitchell graduated from Winnsboro ISD in 1994. Following that he attended Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches where he earned a Bachelor of Business and Administration, with a minor in Forestry.
He is the owner and operator of a commercial poultry farm and the owner and manager of A1 Premium Self Storage. He is also the owner and president of A1 Water Wells, which constructs new wells and services existing wells.
He is a business member of the Winnsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Texas Self Storage Association, the Texas Ground Water Association and the National Ground Water Association. He is also a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, where he’s served on the finance committee as well as the outreach committee.
He lives on his farm near Winnsboro and is the father of four children, three daughters and one son.
